Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 1543 p4p, 79 weight class) and Edgy Brah (ranked 1913 p4p, 101 weight class). Brah is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dropped by Smoke Serpent. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Edgy Brah was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 3 losses; Ace Rob! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Edgy Brah!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Brah shoots in and gets a takedown into Rob's guard.

Brah trying to control the position from guard on top but Rob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rob tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Rob is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brah is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rob not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brah wants to control from the top but Rob keeps moving.

Rob is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brah advances position into side control!

Rob is looking to regain half guard here but Brah keeps moving and retains side control.
Brah trying to control the action but Rob is working from the bottom.
Brah might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rob haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Rob gets back to half guard.
Brah wants to pass the guard but Rob is defending well.
Rob is looking to improve his position.
Rob is not content to let Brah control the position.
Brah tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rob knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Brah wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rob keeps working.

Rob wants to improve his position but Brah is controlling well.
Rob has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brah is working away from the top position though.
Rob won't allow Brah to pass to mount.
Rob slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Brah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rob swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rob is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rob has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brah can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Brah passes into half guard.
Brah is looking to advance position but Rob won't allow it.
Brah is still trying to improve position.
Brah working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Rob's thigh. Rob counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Rob keeping full guard, as Brah tries to pass.

Brah trying to move into half guard but instead Rob has managed to sweep!

Brah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rob is one step ahead there.
Brah is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brah seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rob is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Edgy Brah!
