Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Walters (ranked 3071 p4p, 291 weight class) and Justin Case (ranked 2464 p4p, 255 weight class). Case is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rush - Closer to the Heart. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Walters.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Case, as that shot connected.
A jab from Case finds it's way through Walters's defenses.
Walters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Case defends it nicely.
Walters fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Walters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walters has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Top Gun Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Case dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Walters. That did some damage!
Walters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Case but Case pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And Case responds with a good body kick, but Walters manages to step out the way in time.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Case digs a right hand into Walters's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Walters's gas tank.
Walters is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Case is defending well.

Case stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Case pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walters on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Case rushes Walters and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Case gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Walters.
Case scores with a nice hook to the head.
Case lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Walters backwards.

Walters jumps guard but Case stands there with Walters around his waist. Walters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Case creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Walters changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Case fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Case drops Walters with a naaaaasty hook - Walters is in real trouble here! Case dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Justin Case!
A very excited looking Justin Case rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
