Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Maya Chigg (ranked 4086 p4p, 115 weight class) and Weimin Liaw (ranked 2621 p4p, 74 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Weimin Liaw!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chigg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Liaw tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chigg was well out of range. Poor timing from Liaw.
Chigg explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Chigg misses with a wild body shot.
Liaw looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Good exchange - Chigg coming out on top.
Chigg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Chigg connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chigg wants to slow Liaw down by chopping away at his legs.
Despite the aggression on Liaw's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Chigg throws a body shot but no joy.
Chigg lands a head kick!

Liaw paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Chigg looks to land a body kick but Liaw moved away.
Liaw fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Liaw takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Liaw blocks a head kick by Chigg.
Chigg misses with a body kick.

Liaw drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Chigg onto his butt! Chigg pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chigg lands with a cross.
Chigg really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Liaw throws a hook to the side of Chigg's head but Chigg sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
As Liaw tries to get set, Chigg tries to push him back and clinch up but Liaw manages to avoid the attempt.
Chigg avoids the body shot from Liaw.
Chigg swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Liaw counters with a right hand to the body.
Chigg misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Liaw.
Chigg displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Liaw throws out the jab.

Liaw fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chigg manages to avoid it.
Chigg is looking to counter the offense by Liaw and move into the clinch.

and Liaw counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Chigg goes down! Will Chigg beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!
