Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jiri Ahokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahokas comes to the cage accompanied by Fort Minor - 100 Degrees. The crowd seem to be enjoying Peterson's choice of entrance music: Diamond. Victor Peterson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jiri Ahokas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws out a loose jab but Ahokas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Peterson throws a sloppy head kick and Ahokas moves out of range easily.
Peterson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ahokas.
Peterson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ahokas momentarily.
Peterson misses with a straight right.
Ahokas lands a jab to Peterson's midsection.
Peterson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Victor Peterson has been cut.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ahokas, right into the meat.

and Ahokas counters with a low kick, right behind Peterson 's knee.

Ahokas feints and then cracks Peterson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Peterson down.

Peterson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Peterson swats away the attempt to clinch by Ahokas.
Ahokas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ahokas.
Peterson looks to land a right hand but Ahokas moved out of range.

Peterson throws a jab but it's blocked by Ahokas.

Peterson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ahokas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ahokas is looking to take a break and control but Peterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Peterson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jiri Ahokas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Peterson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ahokas's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Ahokas is keen to just control but Peterson is a slippery customer.
Victor Peterson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Peterson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Peterson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ahokas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
