Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marchiano Giovinazzi (ranked 2402 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Spencer (ranked 4278 p4p, 0 weight class). Marchiano Giovinazzi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Giovinazzi shoots in looking for a takedown but Spencer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Giovinazzi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Spencer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Giovinazzi is defended easily by Spencer.
Giovinazzi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spencer's waist but Spencer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Giovinazzi off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marchiano Giovinazzi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Giovinazzi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spencer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Giovinazzi somewhat.
A little jabbing left from Spencer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Giovinazzi fails with the takedown.
Spencer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Spencer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Giovinazzi if he has to take too many more of those.
Giovinazzi is breathing heavily.

Oooooh!!! Spencer has knocked Giovinazzi down with a huge combo! Spencer steps away and waves a wobbly Giovinazzi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Giovinazzi is rocked!

It looks like Marchiano Giovinazzi has been cut.

Spencer goes for a small jab and connects. Now Spencer goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Giovinazzi stumbles back but Spencer runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Giovinazzi to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Giovinazzi will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
