And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Morgan Payne!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt lands with a good body shot.
Hunt lands with an uppercut that bounces Payne off the cage and back into range.
Ethan Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hunt scores with the left hand. Payne knows he should have avoided that one.
Payne takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice uppercut there from Hunt.
Hunt's corner calls for a 1-2. Hunt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hunt lands a right hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Payne closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hunt did well to prevent Payne getting side control.
Payne with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hunt wants to improve his position but Payne is controlling well.
Payne is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Hunt looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Payne is nestled in close to Hunt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Payne prevents Hunt from improving his position.
Payne seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hunt looking for submissions off his back.
Payne scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Payne with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Well, if Payne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Payne prevents Hunt from improving his position.

Payne wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Hunt uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hunt is looking for a triangle but Payne pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Payne defends it easily.
Payne not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Payne won't allow Hunt to get back to his feet.
Payne trying to control but Hunt is working from the bottom.
Hunt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Payne is stalling in the full guard.
Payne wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
Payne makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hunt pushes a forearm under Payne's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Payne is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ethan Hunt!
