Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Kenway Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Drake Roundtree!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roundtree lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kenway Jr backs up against the cage.
Roundtree cracks Kenway Jr with an open hand slap.
Left hook, right uppercut from Roundtree.
Roundtree lands with a nice combination. Kenway Jr backs away looking to recover.
Kenway Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roundtree sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kenway Jr somewhat.
Roundtree moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kenway Jr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roundtree's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Roundtree duly obliges.
Kenway Jr takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Roundtree tries to clinch but Kenway Jr is having none of it.
Roundtree is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roundtree displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kenway Jr.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Kenway Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Roundtree connects with a crisp jab.

Kenway Jr decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kenway Jr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Roundtree does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kenway Jr drops an elbow to the side of Roundtree's head.
Kenway Jr landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Roundtree is looking for a sweep. Kenway Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kenway Jr is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Roundtree has managed to free his arm - good work.
Roundtree really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kenway Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kenway Jr is trying for a kimura here. Roundtree looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kenway Jr wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Charles Kenway Jr!
After winning the bout, Charles Kenway Jr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
