Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario deRidder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hugh Jackmen!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
deRidder misses with a double jab
and Jackmen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
deRidder could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
deRidder looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Jackmen scores with a jab. deRidder acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
deRidder takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A punch lands to the side of deRidder 's head but he takes it in his stride.
deRidder fails with the takedown
and Jackmen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps deRidder thinking.
Jackmen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed deRidder momentarily.
Jackmen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jackmen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but deRidder was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackmen.
deRidder was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jackmen works the jab nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
deRidder tries to move into range but Jackmen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
deRidder tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jackmen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Jackmen lands with a hook. deRidder tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
deRidder on the wrong end of a nice jab.
deRidder takes one on the button.
deRidder avoids a punch combination nicely.
deRidder quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
deRidder takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jackmen has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jackmen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jackmen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
deRidder throws a right hand that misses
and Jackmen counters with a nice uppercut.
deRidder swings widly with a right hand
and Jackmen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
deRidder throws a right and a left that Jackmen avoids nicely.
Jackmen works deRidder's body with a nice hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
deRidder takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jackmen!
deRidder takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Jackmen connects with a jab.
Jackmen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jackmen lands the left hand.
Jackmen is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! deRidder had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
deRidder on the wrong end of a nice hook.
deRidder misses with a leg kick
and Jackmen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackmen connects with a single shot there.


deRidder is rocked!
Jackmen lands a jab to the head.
Oh deRidder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
deRidder looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Jackmen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jackmen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between deRidder's hands.
Hugh Jackmen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jackmen fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops deRidder to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! deRidder looks to clinch but Jackmen throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! deRidder taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
