Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Snappy Whiplash (ranked 1281 p4p, 150 weight class) and Tzu Chu (ranked 1990 p4p, 218 weight class). Snappy Whiplash has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Snappy Whiplash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tzu Chu! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whiplash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chu.
Chu fails to land with a series of punches.
As Chu tries to get set, Whiplash tries to push him back and clinch up but Chu manages to avoid the attempt. Whiplash gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chu throws a right hand that Whiplash ducks under and follows up with a left that Whiplash also avoids with ease. Chu throws a shot to the body.
Whiplash feints and then cracks Chu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chu down. Chu's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Chu duly obliges. Whiplash throws a hook but Chu blocks it. Chu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Whiplash. Chu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Chu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Whiplash moves away. A slow jab from Chu misses its intended target. An attempted straight right counter from Whiplash misses the target. Chu misses the jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Whiplash uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chu. Whiplash feinted there with a counter leg kick. Whiplash has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zimmer Babies in the buildup to the fight. Nice jab there from Chu. Chu misses with a straight left. Whiplash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chu was well out of range. Poor timing from Whiplash. Chu misses with a two punch combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chu looks to score with a jab to the body but Whiplash is just out of range. Whiplash feinted there with a counter leg kick. Tzu Chu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Whiplash throws a lazy right hand but Chu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Whiplash connects with a nice looking jab.

Chu misses with a looping right. Whiplash feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Chu blocks a leg kick. A swing and a miss from Whiplash. Whiplash is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chu. Chu pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Whiplash uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chu. Whiplash was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Whiplash scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Whiplash doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Chu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Whiplash swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Whiplash throws a low kick but Chu avoids it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Whiplash throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Chu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chu misses with a wild body shot. As Chu backs away, Whiplash returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Chu scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Chu slips under a jab. Whiplash swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Chu wants to slow Whiplash down by chopping away at his legs. Chu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Chu controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Chu is looking to work some ground and pound but Whiplash has wrist control. Chu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Whiplash is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chu is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chu looking to sit in guard and control but Whiplash gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Whiplash stopping the sweep attempt from Chu. Whiplash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whiplash keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chu's head. Whiplash will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Whiplash throws a big right hand that misses. Whiplash missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Whiplash wanted to stand there but Chu had control of the position. Whiplash wants to control from the top but Chu keeps moving. Whiplash throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whiplash working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Chu's head. Chu is controlling Whiplash's posture. Chu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chu keeping moving, preventing Whiplash from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Chu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Whiplash sees it coming and avoids it easily. Whiplash throws a jab when Chu was well out of range. Whiplash feints and then cracks Chu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chu down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tzu Chu dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Chu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Whiplash. Whiplash with a nice cross. Chu drops his hands momentarily and Whiplash takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Chu misses with the combination.
Chu slips a straight right by Whiplash. Whiplash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Whiplash is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Whiplash lands a right hook to the body.
Chu throws an overhand right that lands on Whiplash's shoulder, as Whiplash tries to avoid the shot. Whiplash bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. A big right from Whiplash misses. Sloppy strikes from Chu. Those never looked like landing. Tzu Chu seems to be getting the better of the standup. Chu misses with a hook. Whiplash ducked under it nicely. Whiplash throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whiplash lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Whiplash just misses with a punch to the body.

It looked like Whiplash was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Whiplash bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chu's head. Whiplash connects with a jab.
It looks like Tzu Chu has been cut. Chu looks to land a combination but Whiplash avoids it well. Chu looks to score with a jab to the body but Whiplash is just out of range. A shot to the liver by Whiplash. Beautiful body shot. Whiplash clobbers Chu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Chu lands with a nice combination. Whiplash backs away looking to recover. Chu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Chu is rocked! Chu throws a series of punches but Whiplash moves out of range. Chu is still on wobbly legs! Can Whiplash finish him? I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Whiplash has cracked Chu with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Whiplash lands another huge swinging hook and Chu tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Chu, before Whiplash can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Snappy Whiplash! Snappy Whiplash was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
