Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Mitchell (ranked 658 p4p, 90 weight class) and Zell Dincht (ranked 904 p4p, 124 weight class). Zell Dincht is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Travis Mitchell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zell Dincht!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dincht moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Dincht throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mitchell on the side of the head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mitchell, as that shot connected.
Nice uppercut there from Dincht.
Dincht connects with a single shot there.
Dincht displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mitchell throws out the jab.

Mitchell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dincht misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Mitchell misses with a punch on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Mitchell.
Mitchell blocks a body shot from Dincht.

Mitchell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mitchell lands with a hook. Dincht tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


It looks like Zell Dincht has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dincht lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mitchell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dincht connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mitchell scrambles back to his feet.
Dincht moves out of range of the body kick.
Dincht scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dincht fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mitchell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Dincht avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dincht tries to clinch but Mitchell moves out of range.
Dincht throws a nice inside leg kick.

Dincht lands a lovely overhand right.
Dincht drops his hands momentarily and Mitchell takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Dincht changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Mitchell lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dincht will feel that in the morning.
Dincht keeps the fight on the outside.
Dincht throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mitchell.
Dincht misses with a hook. Mitchell ducked under it nicely.
Mitchell tries to close the distance and clinch but Dincht swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dincht ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Mitchell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mitchell uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dincht has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dincht has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dincht there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mitchell lands a jab to Dincht's midsection.
Dincht misses the jab.
Mitchell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dincht manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A clash of legs there as Mitchell blocks the low kick.
A quick step to the side and Mitchell tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mitchell wants to land a leg kick but Dincht is out of range.
Dincht thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Mitchell wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Dincht throws a hook to the side of Mitchell's head but Mitchell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mitchell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dincht manages to avoid it.

Mitchell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dincht lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Dincht paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mitchell throws the left hand but Dincht avoids the punch easily.

and Dincht takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mitchell is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Dincht lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Mitchell is just content to waste time from the top position. Dincht takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dincht has control of Mitchell's left arm, preventing Mitchell from doing any damage.
Mitchell throws a big right hand that misses.
Mitchell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mitchell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Dincht is trying to control the position but Mitchell postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mitchell lands a couple of digs.
Dincht really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Travis Mitchell will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mitchell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mitchell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dincht for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dincht is in trouble now - Mitchell has advanced to mount!

Travis Mitchell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mitchell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
