Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lexington Mortis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Two! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mortis fails to land the takedown. Mortis lands a high kick!
It looks like Jake Two has been cut. Mortis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. No joy there for Mortis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mortis misses with a head kick.
Two is looking for the big counter here. Two blocks a head kick by Mortis.
Two closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mortis misses with an elbow from the bottom. Mortis struggling a bit here. Mortis misses with a strike from the bottom. Mortis tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mortis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Two on the ground. Two working away. Mortis is trying to improve his position. Mortis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mortis tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Two cracks Mortis with an elbow. That is naaassty. Mortis trying to control but Two flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Mortis is in bad spot here.
Mortis trying to control the position but Two manages to sink in the hooks. Mortis is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Two throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Two had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mortis defends it easily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Two working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mortis. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mortis stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Two has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Mortis manages to get his head free but now Two has transitioned to an armbar! Mortis grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Two! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
