Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Brit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lynn Steinheiser!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brit goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Brit wants to clinch
and Steinheiser counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Brit throws a jab when Steinheiser was well out of range.
Brit lands a right hook to the body.
Brit throws a hook but Steinheiser blocks it.
Brit throws a head kick that misses
and Steinheiser counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Steinheiser must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Steinheiser works over Brit with some ground and pound from guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brit lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Brit is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Brit trying to control but Steinheiser is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Steinheiser keeping full guard, as Brit tries to pass.
Brit throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steinheiser swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brit trying to control the position from guard on top but Steinheiser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steinheiser swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brit looking to sit in guard and control but Steinheiser gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steinheiser lands a couple of digs.
Steinheiser lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Steinheiser working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Steinheiser throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brit works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Steinheiser postures up and lands a big shot to Brit's brow.
Brit is rocked!
Brit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Oh Brit is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Steinheiser working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Steinheiser postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Brit covers up, he's hurt! Steinheiser keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Steinheiser and the ref steps in to end the fight! Steinheiser can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lynn Steinheiser!
