Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Franca (ranked 642 p4p, 97 weight class) and Andrei Voronov (ranked 592 p4p, 90 weight class). Franca kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Greatest Showman. Voronov has chosen Noize Mc - Make Destroy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Luiz Franca had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Andrei Voronov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luiz Franca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Voronov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franca shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Voronov but Voronov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Franca has been working on his balance at Iron Man (Fitness & Sparring), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Voronov.
Voronov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Voronov counters with a one-two to the body.
Franca takes one to the side of the head.
Voronov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Franca is rocked!
It looks like Luiz Franca has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Voronov engages and cracks Franca with a massive lead left hook - Franca tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Voronov is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrei Voronov!
Andrei Voronov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
