Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anti Happy (ranked 1799 p4p, 203 weight class) and Darren Dixon (ranked 1925 p4p, 213 weight class). Happy comes to the cage accompanied by Bvana iz lagune & Mikri Maus - AntiHepi. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anti Happy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Happy's head.
Dixon connects with a jab.
Dixon moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Happy or perhaps it was just good defense by Dixon, which made it look bad.
Darren Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Happy. Happy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dixon throws a good cross that connects.
Dixon tests Happy's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Happy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dixon defends well and Happy ends up having to push Dixon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dixon throws out a counter right but Happy avoids it with no problem.
Happy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Happy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Dixon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dixon might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Dixon is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Happy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Happy moves forwards but Dixon connects with a nice, crisp jab.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dixon is on top in guard.

Happy is trying to control the position but Dixon postures up.

Happy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dixon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dixon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Happy looking for a guillotine here but Dixon defends easily.
Happy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dixon controls the pace.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Happy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Happy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Happy keeping full guard, as Dixon tries to pass.

Happy working for a triangle but Dixon defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dixon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Dixon wants to pass the guard but Happy is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Darren Dixon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dixon scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nice straight punches there by Dixon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dixon.
Dixon uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Happy needs to keep his hands up - Dixon had a free shot at his head there.

Happy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dixon lands a nice shot that snaps Happy's head back.

Happy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Happy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dixon circles away quickly and effectively.
Happy closes the distance and clinches up with Dixon, looking for a takedown. Happy pushes Dixon against the cage but Dixon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dixon scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Happy shoots in but no luck this time.
Happy looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Happy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dixon to the mat! Dixon manages to get full guard.
Dixon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Happy manages to get himself to full guard.

Dixon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Happy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dixon defends it easily.

Happy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dixon is aware though and is defending well.

Anti Happy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dixon won't allow Happy to sweep him here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Darren Dixon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Happy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Happy walks into a left hand.
Happy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dixon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Happy.
Dixon digs a good hook to Happy's body.
Dixon connects with the punch.
Dixon thuds a left hand into Happy's body.
Happy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dixon as he avoids it easily.
Dixon scores with a jab to the jaw.
Happy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dixon but Dixon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dixon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Happy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Dixon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Happy.

Happy drops his hands momentarily and Dixon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dixon lands with a straight right. Happy didn't see that one coming.
Happy throws a jab when Dixon was well out of range.
Happy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dixon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Happy scrambles back to his feet.

Happy cracks Dixon with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dixon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Happy manages to get himself to full guard.

Dixon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dixon stands and throws Happy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Happy trying to remain calm as Dixon controls from the top position.
Dixon works to advance to full mount. Happy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Happy is looking to get to half guard.
Dixon seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Happy is holding on tight.
Happy is in all sorts of trouble here.

I've got Dixon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
