Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davey Totoroaere (ranked 4932 p4p, 474 weight class) and James Tuati (ranked 4931 p4p, 471 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Totoroaere tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tuati sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Totoroaere somewhat.
Tuati stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tuati wants it to stay on the feet.
Totoroaere fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davey Totoroaere. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tuati will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Tuati shoots in looking for a takedown. Totoroaere tries to sprawl out of it but Tuati keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Totoroaere manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Totoroaere closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tuati's guard.
Tuati can't keep his opponent in guard - Totoroaere advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Totoroaere is working for a kimura but Tuati is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tuati seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Totoroaere drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Totoroaere jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
