The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuznetsov blocks a head kick by Schafer.
Kuznetsov lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Robert Schafer has been cut.
Kuznetsov tries to clinch
and Schafer counters with a series of strikes. Kuznetsov will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kuznetsov tries to bum rush Schafer with a series of wild strikes but Schafer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kuznetsov throws a body kick that misses.
Schafer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kuznetsov walks into a left hand.
Kuznetsov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kuznetsov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schafer moves away.

Kuznetsov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Schafer counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Schafer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kuznetsov throws a poor cross that misses
and Schafer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Schafer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuznetsov circles away quickly and effectively.

Schafer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kuznetsov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Schafer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A clash of legs there as Schafer blocks the low kick.
Kuznetsov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Schafer counter with a right hand.
Nice defenses there by Schafer.
A slow jab from Kuznetsov misses its intended target.
Schafer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kuznetsov appears to be looking for a big counter.
Schafer walks into a straight right hand from Kuznetsov.
Kuznetsov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Schafer moves away from the strike by Kuznetsov.
Schafer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kuznetsov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kuznetsov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Schafer.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kuznetsov throws a hook but Schafer avoids it easily.

and Schafer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kuznetsov tries to clinch but Schafer is having none of it.

Schafer looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kuznetsov lands a right hand from hell, dropping Schafer. Kuznetsov pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
