Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Summers (ranked 5082 p4p, 398 weight class) and Blessing Manwaring (ranked 7109 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Summers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blessing Manwaring! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers tries to keep at a distance but Manwaring has taken the fight into the clinch. Summers avoiding damage as Manwaring throws knees to the body.
Manwaring stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Manwaring should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Manwaring tries for a takedown but Summers manages to get underhooks.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Manwaring has eaten all the pies! Manwaring softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Manwaring jumps guard but Summers stands there with Manwaring around his waist. Manwaring gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Summers taking a breather. Summers looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manwaring pressing his opponent against the cage. Manwaring pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manwaring takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Manwaring fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Summers, pushing him back against the cage. A body shot lands from Manwaring.
Manwaring stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Manwaring pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Manwaring moves into range and clinches up with Summers. A right hand to the body from Manwaring.
Manwaring pulls guard effortlessly. Summers looking to sit in guard and control but Manwaring gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Manwaring stands up from Summers's guard - Manwaring perhaps looking for a knockout. Manwaring darts in and clinches Summers up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manwaring cracks Summers with a nice body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Manwaring lands with a short shot to the head. Summers is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Summers is breathing heavily. Manwaring has Summers pressed against the cage.
Manwaring manages to break the clinch.
Manwaring closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Manwaring breaks the clinch.
Summers jabs Manwaring right on the nose. Manwaring blinks but takes it well. Manwaring shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Summers napping and manages to drive through into side control! Manwaring decides to stand up, so the ref orders Summers to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manwaring takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Summers avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Summers tries to keep at a distance but Manwaring has taken the fight into the clinch. Manwaring pushes Summers back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Summers takes an elbow to the temple. A short right from Manwaring. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Manwaring takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A short uppercut from Manwaring. Summers letting Manwaring take a breather here. Summers misses with a body punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manwaring lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A hook to the body from Manwaring.
Manwaring jumps guard and drags Summers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Manwaring is pulling down on Summers's head to control his posture. Manwaring has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Summers is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Manwaring gets control of Summers's arms and successfully pulls guard. Manwaring will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blessing Manwaring dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Manwaring slowing the pace effectively. Still in the clinch, Manwaring scores with a nice short uppercut. Manwaring has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Manwaring lands an elbow that stopped Summers in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Jake Summers has been cut. Summers stalling in the clinch but Manwaring improves position. Manwaring lands with a right to the head. Manwaring will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Summers up against the cage. Summers takes an elbow to the forehead. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manwaring displaying some good clinch control by pressing Summers up against the cage. Manwaring has Summers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Summers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manwaring pulls guard effortlessly. Manwaring has his feet on Summers's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Manwaring forces Summers back against the cage and clinches. Blessing Manwaring seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Manwaring decides to pull guard. Manwaring looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Summers puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Summers wants to advance to full mount but Manwaring doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Manwaring kicks Summers off and gets to his feet. Manwaring digs a good body shot into Summers's ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Summers throws a looping overhand right but Manwaring ducks down to avoid it. Manwaring tries to counter with a clinch but Summers shakes him off and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manwaring darts in and clinches Summers up against the cage. Manwaring gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Manwaring decides to stand up. Jake Summers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Manwaring closes the distance and pushes Summers back into the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Summers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Blessing Manwaring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manwaring moves into the clinch. Manwaring breaks from the clinch.
Manwaring drives through and clinches with Summers against the cage.
Summers is looking to control Manwaring's arms but Manwaring gets an underhook and turns him. Now Summers has his back to the cage. Manwaring throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Summerss head. Manwaring just leaning against Summers, taking a breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manwaring lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Manwaring taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Manwaring scores with a nice hook to the head. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Manwaring as Summers tries to tie him up. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Manwaring breaks the clinch.
Manwaring moves into the clinch. Good body shot from Manwaring.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Manwaring lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Summers backwards. A battle for position here, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manwaring lands a hook to the side of the head. Manwaring with a knee to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Manwaring. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Manwaring breaks the clinch.
Summers walks straight into a right hand from Manwaring - that's dropped him! Manwaring jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Summers from any more punishment! Summers complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
