Zornach comes to the cage accompanied by When you f***ed grandpa. The key to victory for Quandu Zornach has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Garnet!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garnet keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zornach misses with a double jab.
Zornach lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Zornach jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zornach is looking to land body kicks.
Zornach fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garnet manages to avoid it.
Quandu Zornach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zornach scores with a jab. Garnet acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Zornach lands a body shot.
Zornach looks to score with a jab to the body but Garnet is just out of range.
Zornach throws a series of strikes that have Garnet backpedaling.
Zornach misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zornach looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zornach scores with a one two! Garnet had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Zornach lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zornach connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Zornach throws a head kick that misses.
Zornach misses with a wild body shot.

A good leg kick by Garnet.
Zornach connects with a good right hand that stumbles Garnet. Garnet circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zornach will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zornach throws a series of punches but Garnet moves out of range.

Garnet closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Zornach manages to get back to half guard.
Garnet tries to pass the half guard into mount. Zornach knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Garnet lands with a punch from half guard.
Garnet looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Garnet prevents Zornach from improving his position.

Zornach is pressing down on Garnet's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Garnet lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Zornach is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Garnet passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Garnet is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zornach is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Zornach is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Garnet has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Zornach tries to bench press Garnet off him but Garnet keeps the position.
Zornach regains half guard.
Zornach trying to hold on to Garnet's head to control him but Garnet postures up.
Zornach is breathing heavily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Garnet moves nicely into side control.
Garnet advances to mount.
Garnet prevents Zornach from getting the reversal.
Zornach wants to hold on but Garnet pushes him away.
Zornach is bucking up trying to escape but Garnet cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Garnet is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Garnet fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Zornach is rocked!
Garnet lands a big shot there that rocks Zornach but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Zornach is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Garnet unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Zornach wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Garnet celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Garnet!
