The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hoost.

Hoost lands a big head kick that sends Lynar tumbling to the mat! Hoost takes a step backwards and waves Lynar back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lynar is rocked!

It looks like Sebastion Lynar has been cut.

Lynar takes the fight into the clinch.
Lynar is still on wobbly legs! Can Hoost finish him?

Lynar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lynar seems to have recovered his senses.
Lynar throws a jab when Hoost was well out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hoost gets caught flat footed, as Lynar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lynar trying to control but Hoost is working from the bottom.
Hoost wants to sweep here but Lynar controlling him for the moment.
Lynar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lynar drops back looking for a leg! Hoost is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hoost manages to kick Lynar off! Lynar jumps back into Hoost's guard.

Hoost has control of Lynar's left arm, preventing Lynar from doing any damage.

Lynar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lynar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hoost working for submissions but it's allowed Lynar to get to half guard.
Lynar is trying to control the action in half guard but Hoost is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lynar is working for a kimura but Hoost is defending it quite comfortably.
Hoost is trying to maintain the position but Lynar is very close to passing his half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lynar trying to control the action but Hoost is working from the bottom.
Lynar trying to mount his opponent but Hoost defends it.
Lynar works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lynar trying to control but Hoost is having none of it.
Hoost can't escape the position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Clarence Hoost.
