Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jan Chrzan (ranked 3741 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Rowlands (ranked 4736 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Buddy Rowlands was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jan Chrzan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Buddy Rowlands!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowlands shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chrzan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chrzan throws Rowlands to one side and escapes!
Rowlands throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chrzan's waist but Chrzan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rowlands off to one side.
Chrzan feinted with a counter takedown.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Chrzan enables Rowlands to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chrzan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Chrzan pushes Rowlands off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Buddy Rowlands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rowlands drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rowlands stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Chrzan throws up his legs and catches Rowlands in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Rowlands tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Chrzan! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jan Chrzan!
