The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonifacio closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Imanari closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Imanari lands in his opponent's guard.
Imanari slips nicely into half guard.
Imanari moves nicely into side control.
Imanari tries for a kimura but Bonifacio is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Imanari seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bonifacio for as long as he can get away with.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Imanari wants to take Bonifacio 's back here but Bonifacio is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Imanari has hold of Bonifacio 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bonifacio manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bonifacio is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Imanari has taken his back.

Bonifacio is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Imanari gets his way!

Imanari has managed to slip his arm under Bonifacio 's chin. This could be all over... yep, Bonifacio is tapping out! Submission win for Imanari.

A relieved looking Nobuki Imanari thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
