Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rhys Lewham (ranked 5217 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyoki Sinsuki (ranked 5215 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rhys Lewham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hyoki Sinsuki !
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinsuki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lewham moves into the clinch.
Sinsuki has Lewham pushed against the cage.
Sinsuki has Lewham pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lewham manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lewham is pressed up against the cage. Sinsuki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lewham down to the mat. Lewham avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rhys Lewham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hyoki Sinsuki .
Sinsuki shoots in but Lewham avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lewham appears to be looking for a big counter.
Sinsuki slips a jab and a cross from Lewham.
Sinsuki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lewham as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewham gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sinsuki jumps guard but Lewham turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lewham is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sinsuki to keep the fight standing.

Sinsuki tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sinsuki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lewham fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lewham misses with a series of wild punches.

Lewham is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sinsuki 's half guard.
Sinsuki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lewham seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sinsuki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lewham knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sinsuki on the ground.
Lewham is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Lewham wants to stand and escape but instead Sinsuki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sinsuki trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sinsuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lewham swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lewham is looking to stand up but Sinsuki isn't so interested in that idea.
Sinsuki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sinsuki takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Lewham controls Sinsuki momentarily but Sinsuki frees himself.

Lewham looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewham is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sinsuki defends well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Lewham shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sinsuki 's guard.

Sinsuki looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sinsuki is pulling down on Lewham's head to control his posture.

Lewham gets to his feet - Sinsuki follows without any prompting.
Nice takedown defense from Sinsuki . No joy for Lewham on that attempt.

Lewham closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sinsuki to the mat! Sinsuki manages to get full guard.

Sinsuki isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lewham stacks Sinsuki on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lewham!
Rhys Lewham overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lewham is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sinsuki can do to turn this around?
Sinsuki manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lewham's best efforts.

Sinsuki has Lewham pressed against the cage, preventing Lewham from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sinsuki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lewham trying to control the position but instead, Sinsuki has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lewham into the cage.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lewham goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sinsuki prevents it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sinsuki tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lewham's elbow.

Lewham is trying to force a seperation but Sinsuki has the dominant position.

Lewham's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A close second round but Hyoki Sinsuki will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Lewham fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lewham shoots in and drives through. Sinsuki sprawls well.
Sinsuki wants to clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sinsuki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lewham manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sinsuki on his heels. He'll look to pass Sinsuki 's guard now, I'm sure.

Sinsuki has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lewham has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Sinsuki has a takedown stuffed.
Lewham is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sinsuki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Lewham changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sinsuki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lewham is looking to take a break and control but Sinsuki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lewham creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lewham prevents Sinsuki from escaping the position.
Lewham wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sinsuki keeps working.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sinsuki is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ground and pound from Lewham.
Sinsuki is looking to escape.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sinsuki manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lewham engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lewham might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sinsuki 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lewham scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Sinsuki tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lewham defends well and Sinsuki ends up having to push Lewham into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
