Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Doncaster (ranked 2029 p4p, 277 weight class) and Freddie Daisy (ranked 4191 p4p, 500 weight class). Mark Doncaster has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Doncaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddie Daisy!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doncaster closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Daisy did well to prevent Doncaster getting side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Doncaster's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Doncaster uses his free foot to push down on Daisy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Daisy.
Doncaster with shots to the head and body - Daisy looks very uncomfortable down there.

Doncaster moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Daisy has worked his arm free - good work by Daisy!

Daisy pushes Doncaster away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Doncaster gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Doncaster cracks Daisy with a big elbow.

Doncaster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Doncaster advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Doncaster looking for a guillotine from mount but Daisy is having none of it.
Doncaster is trying to take his opponent's back.

Daisy is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Doncaster fails to take his opponent's back.
Daisy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doncaster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Doncaster lands with some strikes.
Doncaster looking to finish Daisy with some ground and pound. This is bad for Daisy!

Daisy is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Doncaster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Doncaster working for a guillotine from mount but Daisy is in no mood to give up.

Doncaster goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Daisy is on top in guard.
Doncaster has a closed guard, preventing Daisy from standing up.

Doncaster is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Daisy is aware though and is defending well.

Daisy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Doncaster is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daisy defends well.

Daisy stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Daisy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Daisy lands a right hook to the body.
Daisy scores with a body shot.
Doncaster takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Mark Doncaster has been cut.
Daisy lands a nice hook to Doncaster's body. Doncaster takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Daisy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Doncaster stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Doncaster shoots in looking for a takedown but Daisy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Doncaster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Daisy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Daisy scores with a punch to the head.
Doncaster shoots for a takedown but Daisy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Doncaster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doncaster misses with a right hand
and Daisy counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Doncaster is breathing heavily.

Daisy stuffs the takedown.
Freddie Daisy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Daisy drops Doncaster with a beautiful combination! Doncaster stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Daisy is looking for the KO!


Doncaster is rocked!
BAM! Daisy delivers a spinning backfist that drops Doncaster like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Our winner, Freddie Daisy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
