Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Prick Diaz (ranked 5088 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro DelToro (ranked 4959 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by FACE THE PAIN. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro DelToro! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and DelToro counters with a nice uppercut. Diaz is looking to clinch. DelToro scores with a crisp jab that stopped Diaz in his tracks. Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Diaz is trying to control. DelToro wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. DelToro is holding on to half guard well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz wants to get back to his feet.
DelToro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. DelToro is not content to let Diaz control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Diaz pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Diaz has DelToro pressed against the cage, preventing DelToro from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Diaz wants to take the fight to the mat but DelToro manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Diaz has DelToro pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. DelToro is looking to control Diaz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DelToro avoid being mounted? DelToro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. DelToro is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Diaz prevents DelToro from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, DelToro has managed to free his arm - good work. Diaz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but DelToro sees it coming and defends easily. DelToro is refusing to be controlled, as Diaz sits in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DelToro tries to get to full guard but Diaz has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alejandro DelToro will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
DelToro lands a jab. Diaz clinches. DelToro is defending well against a takedown attempt. Diaz jumps into guard, dragging DelToro to the mat.

Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DelToro scoring with punches to the head and body. Diaz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. DelToro throws an elbow that misses. Diaz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in DelToro's guard. Nice move by Diaz! Diaz trying to control but DelToro is working from the bottom. Diaz looking to pass the guard. Diaz drops back looking for a leg! DelToro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and DelToro manages to kick Diaz off! Diaz jumps back into DelToro's guard. DelToro is looking to stand up but Diaz isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Diaz wants to control from the top but DelToro keeps moving. DelToro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Diaz postures up in DelToro's guard and throws a big left but DelToro blocks it. Diaz won't allow DelToro to get back to his feet. DelToro is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DelToro looking for a sweep. Not yet DelToro, not yet. DelToro keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. DelToro finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
DelToro lands with an overhand left. Jab from DelToro. Diaz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and DelToro moves out of range easily. DelToro thuds his right hand into Diaz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Prick Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. DelToro scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Diaz is rocked! Diaz walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from DelToro! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
