Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avery Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avery Lewis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Harrison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Avery Lewis! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Lewis misses its intended target. Lewis looks to land a right hand but Harrison moved out of range. Harrison cracks Lewis with an open hand slap.
It looks like Avery Lewis has been cut. Lewis closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Lewis misses with a looping left. Lewis lands with an overhand left. Nice straight punches there by Harrison. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Harrison. Lewis stalks Harrison and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harrison's face. Harrison staggers backwards, shaken. Harrison moves into range and connects with a jab. Lewis takes one to the side of the head.

Harrison misses the shot to the body. Lewis misses with a wild body shot. Harrison throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fighters circling - Lewis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A jab from Harrison misses. Lewis clobbers Harrison with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Harrison has closed the distance and engaged Lewis in a clinch.
Lewis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Lewis letting Harrison take a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lewis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A jab from Lewis does it's job there. Lewis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Harrison counters with a straight right hand. Harrison throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lewis ducks right into an uppercut from Harrison. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harrison just stands there and leans against the cage. Lewis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Harrison pulls him back up using the underhooks. A right handed body shot lands from Harrison.
The referee calls for Harrison to work.

Harrison throws a hook to the side of Lewis's head but Lewis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Harrison uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lewis. Lewis tries for a takedown but Harrison circles away easily and Harrison counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harrison. Lewis tries to stall but Harrison uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Lewis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lewis fails to land the takedown. Harrison has closed the distance and engaged Lewis in a clinch.

Harrison seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Harrison throws an elbow that misses.
Harrison is pushing Lewis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Lewis tries to break the clinch but Harrison is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Harrison works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Harrison comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Harrison uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lewis. John Harrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lewis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lewis has his takedown stuffed and Harrison counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lewis is trying desperately to land a takedown but Harrison is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lewis. Nice shot lands for Harrison. Harrison thows a left - swing and a miss! Harrison with a nice cross. Harrison sizes up Lewis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Harrison moves into range and clinches up with Lewis. Lewis throws a lazy right hand but Harrison sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lewis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Nice defenses there by Lewis. Harrison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lewis letting Harrison take a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Harrison dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Avery Lewis's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Harrison tries to clinch but Lewis moves out of range. Lewis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Harrison moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Harrison misses with a body punch
and Lewis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Harrison is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Avery Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Lewis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Harrison connects with a right hand. Lewis shakes it off. Lewis doesn't succeed with the takedown and Harrison counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Harrison is looking to clinch. Harrison scores with a hook. Harrison cracks Lewis with a right hand to the side of the head. Harrison's corner calls for a 1-2. Harrison obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lewis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harrison. Lewis has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Lewis misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to the body from Harrison misses and Lewis counters with a left and a right that stings Harrison. Harrison pushes Lewis up against the cage in a clinch. Harrison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Harrison tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lewis swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lewis tries to keep at a distance but Harrison has taken the fight into the clinch. Lewis is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Harrison breaks from the clinch.
Harrison looks to throw the jab but Lewis is out of range. Lewis waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Harrison. Harrison moves into the clinch. Harrison prevents Lewis from breaking the clinch.

Lewis is trying to break free. Lewis is working for takedown but Harrison is calmly controlling the position for now. Harrison using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Harrison is struggling to control the position. Lewis has had enough of the clinch but Harrison keeps him there for the moment. Harrison is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Lewis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Avery Lewis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lewis can't find room to land a body shot as Harrison controls the action.
And that's the end of the fight! John Harrison showed his dominance in that final round. Well Harrison has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
