PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Jackson (ranked 1879 p4p, 214 weight class) and Jay Simon (ranked 1100 p4p, 134 weight class). Jackson comes into the arena with Ladies & Gentlemen blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jay Simon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Jackson throws a right hand that misses

and Simon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Simon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Simon prevents Jackson from standing back up.

Jackson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Simon pulls his head out easily.

Simon is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jackson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Jay Simon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
