The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez closes the distance looking to clinch
and Furgusen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fernandez looks like he's trying to stand up.

Furgusen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fernandez is pressing down on Furgusen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Furgusen gets to his feet and stands over Fernandez , holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Fernandez felt that one! Furgusen unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Fernandez from any more punishment!
