Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Simpson (ranked 25421 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Slashensmash (ranked 5718 p4p, 0 weight class). Happy Slashensmash is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slashensmash shoots in but no luck this time.
Slashensmash shoots for a double leg takedown but Simpson sprawls well. He's pushed Slashensmash's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Slashensmash closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Simpson's guard.

Simpson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slashensmash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And Slashensmash tries to counter it with a takedown but Simpson pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Simpson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slashensmash tries to avoid it but Simpson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slashensmash to the ground. Slashensmash escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
