Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Collins!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed

and Collins counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Johnson!
Collins trying to control the position but Johnson is working away.
Johnson is trying to improve his position.
Johnson is not content to let Collins control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson tries to bench press Collins off him but Collins keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Collins laying and praying for a moment but Johnson takes advantage and regains half guard.
Collins working Johnson over with strikes.
Johnson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Collins.
Collins lands a couple of elbows.

Johnson looking for a guillotine here but Collins defends easily.

Collins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Collins has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Collins is aware though and is defending well.
Collins throws a big right hand that misses.

Johnson has his foot on Collins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Collins works his way back into a safe position though.

Collins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Collins from controlling successfully.
Collins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Collins trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Collins cracks Johnson with a solid left hand.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Collins engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Johnson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Collins is defending well. Johnson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Collins has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Johnson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Adam Johnson!
A relieved looking Adam Johnson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
