The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibs wants to clinch.
Gibs tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Glover counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Glover throwing shots but Gibs is blocking nicely.

Glover is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Still in half guard, Glover seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Glover is looking to take a break and control but Gibs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Glover is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gibs defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Glover is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gibs can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Glover is working for a guillotine from mount but Gibs frees his head quite easily.
Glover is breathing heavily.
Gibs wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Glover stands up from mount. Strange move.

Glover drives through and clinches with Gibs against the cage.
Gibs tries to pull guard but Glover holds him up against the cage and eventually Gibs drops back down to his feet.

Glover lands a takedown into guard.
Glover lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Glover sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gibs's guard.

Glover is looking for a kimura but Gibs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Glover to get the leverage.

Glover maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gibs could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Glover has cracked it and Gibs is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Glover!
