Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Piano (ranked 147 p4p, 26 weight class) and Mark Kerr (ranked 62 p4p, 11 weight class). Piano comes to the cage accompanied by Rick going ham on a bitch. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Piano ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piano stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kerr scores with a nice strike. Piano is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kerr. Piano misses with a straight right. Kerr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kerr throws a looping overhand right but Piano ducks down to avoid it. It looked like Piano was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Piano misses with a right hand and Kerr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Piano throws a push kick but Kerr slaps the foot to one side. Kerr throws a counter combo. Piano throws out a leg kick but Kerr moves out of range and Piano only half commits. And Kerr tries to counter it with a takedown but Piano pushes his down on his head and steps out. Piano misses with a wild body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piano throws a wild body kick that Kerr sees coming a mile off. Piano throws out a powerful jab. Kerr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Piano looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Piano loads up on a big right hand but Kerr slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piano misses with a straight left. Kerr throws a jab when Piano was well out of range. Piano throws a body kick, spinning off balance enabling Kerr to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Rick Piano has been cut. Kerr takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kerr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Piano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kerr.
Piano lands with a hook. Kerr tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Piano scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kerr in his tracks. Piano throws a lazy uppercut
and Piano takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kerr throws a shot from downtown. Piano moves away and avoids it. Kerr lands with a good body shot. Piano misses with a combination
and Kerr counters with a beautiful punch that sends Piano to the canvas!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Piano can't keep his opponent in guard - Kerr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kerr is trying to control. Piano wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kerr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kerr is keen to just control but Piano is a slippery customer. Kerr is looking to pass Piano 's guard but actually Piano recovers to full guard. Kerr looking to pass the guard. Kerr scoring with punches to the head and body. Kerr trying to control the position from guard on top but Piano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kerr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kerr is looking to work some ground and pound but Piano has wrist control. Piano keeping moving, preventing Kerr from controlling successfully. Kerr scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kerr working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Piano 's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kerr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kerr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Piano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kerr on the ground. Kerr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Piano swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kerr throws a hook but Piano avoids it easily. Kerr drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kerr ducks under a wild hook from Piano . Kerr moves out of range of the strikes. Piano tries to keep at a distance but Kerr has taken the fight into the clinch. Piano blocking some punches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Piano . Piano gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kerr.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Kerr dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rick Piano 's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It looked like Piano was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kerr. Piano is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. A lazy left from Kerr finds it's target. Piano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Piano gets off balance looking for a body kick and Kerr counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kerr. Kerr digs a right hand underneath Piano 's ribcage. Kerr pulls guard effortlessly. Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kerr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Nice strikes from Kerr there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Piano 's head. Piano avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kerr. Kerr frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kerr punching from mount but Piano doing a good job of avoiding damage. Kerr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Piano is looking to escape. Kerr controlling from mount. Piano is in a horrible position here. Kerr smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerr throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kerr unloading with bombs! Kerr has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kerr throws some wild stikes that Piano manages to avoid easily.
Kerr sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kerr working the ground and pound effectively.
Kerr softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Piano is out cold! Kerr jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Kerr! Mark Kerr was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. Rick Piano was interviewed post fight and said 'I need more roids!'.
