The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saarela misses with a hook. Hendersons ducked under it nicely.
Saarela lands a slapping body shot.
Saarela moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Saarela ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Saarela throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Saarela fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
We've been told by Saarela's head coaches at Blanc Fitness Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hendersons shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Saarela's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hendersons stands and throws Saarela's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hendersons tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hendersons has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hendersons tries for a kimura but Saarela is defending well.
Saarela is trying to get back to his feet.
Hendersons stands up and beckons Saarela to his feet.
Saarela tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hendersons was well out of range. Poor timing from Saarela.

Hendersons shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Saarela pinned against the cage. Saarela gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hendersons shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Saarela but Saarela pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hendersons bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ilpo Saarela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hendersons is defended easily by Saarela.

Saarela is trying to stand back up but Hendersons is controlling him
Hendersons is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saarela is just riding it out for now. Hendersons eventually gives up the hold.

Hendersons stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Saarela to get to his feet.
Hendersons throws a sloppy head kick and Saarela moves out of range easily.
Hendersons takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Hendersons gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Saarela throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Saarela knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hendersons on the ground.

Saarela is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hendersons has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hendersons wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Saarela, who protects the arm well.
Saarela is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Hendersons is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Saarela is trying to escape and Hendersons transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Saarela is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hendersons! Very nice indeed!
