Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Oates (ranked 5335 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavio Gracie (ranked 5163 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lucas Oates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flavio Gracie! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oates feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Oates changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gracie is looking for a triangle but Oates pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie controls Oates momentarily but Oates frees himself. Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oates can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Oates wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oates postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oates throwing strikes but missing. Gracie looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Oates puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Still in half guard, Oates seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is looking to control Oates's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted? Oates passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gracie! Oates has control of Gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oates has hold of Gracie's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gracie manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gracie is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oates tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gracie working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gracie tries to lock up and control but Oates gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gracie looks winded! Oates with good strikes from the mount here!
It looks like Flavio Gracie has been cut. Oates scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Gracie?
That has opened up Flavio Gracie's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Flavio Gracie's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
