Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Souza (ranked 5209 p4p, 479 weight class) and Jean Van Jean (ranked 4763 p4p, 461 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Van Jean.
Souza tries to counter with a takedown but Van Jean is quick to defend against it.

Souza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Van Jean has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Souza has managed to get both his arms back between Van Jean's legs - danger averted.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Jean swivels though and keeps the full guard.
