Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Turner (ranked 5263 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Hoover (ranked 5220 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover scores with a nice right hand.
Hoover feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Turners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Turner throws a shot to the body.
Hoover with a jab.
Turner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Turner loads up on a big right hand but Hoover slips the punch.
Junior Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Turner there as he acknowledges the shot.
Turner throws a shot from downtown. Hoover moves away and avoids it.
Hoover scores with a sloppy right hand. Turner should have avoided that one.
Hoover sizes up Turner with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Turner takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hoover crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Turner - the referee stops the clock and Hoover gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Turner. Hoover manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hoover has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Hoover might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Turner looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
