The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makowski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Thompson counters with a left and a right that stings Makowski.
Makowski throws a series of punches but Thompson moves out of range.
Thompson throwing a counter right hand but Makowski manages to avoid it.
Karol Makowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Makowski does no damage.
We've been told by Thompson's head coaches at Texoma Fight Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Oooooh!!! Thompson has knocked Makowski down with a huge combo! Thompson steps away and waves a wobbly Makowski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Karol Makowski has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Thompson counters with a crisp one two that drops Makowski! Thompson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Makowski to his feet! Makowski is in big trouble!

Makowski is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Thompson knocks Makowski out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
