Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Hendersson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Randall!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendersson is looking to clinch but Randall is avoiding it.
Hendersson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randall paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hendersson throws a combination. Randall tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Randall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Randall is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hendersson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hendersson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Randall on the ground.

Randall misses with the ground and pound.

Randall decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Hendersson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Randall counters with a shoot takedown. Hendersson fights it but they end up in guard.
Randall tries to free his leg and advance position but Hendersson is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Randall controls from within his opponent's guard.
Randall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Randall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Randall passes Hendersson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Randall takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hendersson is breathing heavily.

Randall is controlling the pace.
Randall frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Randall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Randall lands a nice shot to the head.
Randall sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Randall breaks from Hendersson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Randall lands a big shot there that rocks Hendersson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Randall gets a clinch.
Randall looking to throw knees to the head but Hendersson is blocking nicely.
Randall content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Randall misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hendersson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Randall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Randall has clasped his hands together around Hendersson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Hendersson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Randall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Randall misses with a wild body shot.
Hendersson closes the distance but Randall moves to the side

and Randall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hendersson won't be happy with that.

Randall is looking to take a break and control but Hendersson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Randall decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hendersson to his feet.
Randall shoots in for a takedown but Hendersson shows good takedown defense.

Randall shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hendersson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Randall looks up at the clock and then as Hendersson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Randall smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Randall advances nicely into full mount.

Randall is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hendersson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dave Randall has got the better of the ground game so far.

Randall clinches.
Hendersson tries to break the clinch but Randall is controlling the position.
Hendersson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Randall is keeping busy.

Randall has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hendersson is trying to keep an underhook but Randall manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Randall slows the pace down in half guard.
Randall thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randall is looking to take a break and control but Hendersson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Randall is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Randall throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Hendersson has his hands clasped together but Randall breaks the hold and Hendersson is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Randall!
