Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chen Wingman (ranked 4239 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Crowder (ranked 4721 p4p, 378 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chen Wingman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dante Crowder! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crowder has closed the distance and engaged Wingman in a clinch.

Wingman successfully pulls guard.
Crowder got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wingman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crowder has managed to get both his arms back between Wingman's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crowder is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Crowder must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crowder's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Crowder preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wingman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crowder manages to get himself to full guard.
Crowder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wingman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Crowder controls Wingman momentarily but Wingman frees himself. Crowder has Wingman pulled in close to control his posture. Crowder controls Wingman momentarily but Wingman frees himself. Wingman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crowder swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wingman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Crowder wants to sweep here but Wingman controlling him for the moment. Wingman stays in close to Crowder's body and controls the position. Crowder wants to control the position but Wingman says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Crowder is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wingman trying to control the action but Crowder is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Wingman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wingman moves out of range of the body kick. Crowder thows a left - swing and a miss! Crowder swings for the body but Wingman moves out of range.
Crowder moves into the clinch. Wingman lands a body punch in the clinch. Wingman pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wingman pulls Crowder in close to prevent any damage. Wingman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wingman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crowder defends it easily. Crowder trying to control the position from guard on top but Wingman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wingman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crowder controls the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chen Wingman dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wingman gets tackled into the cage by Crowder. Crowder maintains the clinch. Crowder has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wingman after a bit of a struggle. Crowder is trying to drag Wingman to the mat but Wingman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Wingman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Crowder can do to turn this around? Wingman jumps into guard, dragging Crowder to the mat.
Crowder postures up in Wingman's guard and throws a big left but Wingman blocks it. Wingman pulls Crowder in close to his closed guard and prevents Crowder from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wingman trying to control the position.
Wingman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wingman is working hard here to advance position. Wingman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Crowder trying to control the position from guard on top but Wingman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crowder preventing the sweep. Wingman keeping moving, preventing Crowder from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Crowder closes the distance and clinches. Crowder taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Wingman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crowder avoids the head kick by Wingman.
Wingman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Crowder counters with a left to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crowder clinches with his opponent.
The referee is keeping an eye on Crowder - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Wingman gets underhooks to prevent Crowder's takedown attempt.
Chen Wingman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Crowder. Crowder pressing his opponent against the cage. Crowder keeps control of Wingman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Wingman tries to pull guard but Crowder holds him up against the cage and eventually Wingman drops back down to his feet.
Wingman letting Crowder take a breather here. Crowder working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crowder displaying some good clinch control by pressing Wingman up against the cage. Crowder jumps guard but Wingman turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Crowder is stalling here.

Wingman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crowder looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Crowder tries to improve position but can't. Wingman is looking to take a break and control but Crowder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chen Wingman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wingman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crowder stops Wingman from passing to mount. Wingman working the head with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Crowder holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Chen Wingman will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Wingman is trying to get back to full guard. Crowder controlling the action here. Crowder trying to mount his opponent but Wingman defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wingman tries to roll over but Crowder keeps him under control. Crowder is trying to control the action in half guard but Wingman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Crowder is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Wingman is trying to stand up here but Crowder is controlling him well. Wingman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wingman. Crowder trying to control the position from guard on top but Wingman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wingman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Crowder is aware though and is defending well. Crowder pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wingman is keeping the position for now. Wingman has control of Crowder's left arm, preventing Crowder from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Crowder controls from within his opponent's guard. Wingman controls Crowder momentarily but Crowder frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Crowder scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Some wild striking there from Wingman.
Crowder swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wingman gets tackled into the cage by Crowder. Crowder maintains the clinch. Wingman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crowder pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crowder stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Wingman shoots in for a takedown but Crowder shows good takedown defense. Dante Crowder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wingman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chen Wingman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wingman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Crowder swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Wingman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Wingman tries to clinch but Crowder moves out of range. Crowder lands with an uppercut that bounces Wingman off the cage and back into range. Wingman lands a head kick. Crowder smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Crowder falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wingman counters with a shoot takedown. Crowder fights it but they end up in guard. Crowder is adopting a defensive guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crowder is continuing to stall. Let's hope that Crowder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Crowder working a defensive guard here.
Dante Crowder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wingman stands and steps away. Crowder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dante Crowder. I think Wingman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
