The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyle takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Mw Two throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pyle.
A combination from Mw Two does no damage.
Mw Two connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Mw Two is looking to stand back up but Pyle counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mw Two.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pyle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mw Two can't fight it off and eventually Pyle manages to take the fight to the floor. Mw Two looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pyle has his foot on Mw Two's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mw Two works his way back into a safe position though.
Mw Two is fighting to break Pyle's control of his arms but Pyle is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Mw Two shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pyle eats them both and turns towards Mw Two to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

No joy there for Mw Two, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mw Two knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pyle on the ground.

Pyle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mw Two with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pyle has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Mw Two has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Rodolph Pyle is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
