Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 109 p4p, 102 weight class) and William Spud (ranked 13 p4p, 12 weight class). Spud has chosen Havana as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

Spud lands a nice leg kick that just misses Banner 's sensitive parts.
Banner throws a shot from downtown. Spud moves away and avoids it.
Spud takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Spud fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Banner manages to avoid it.
Spud throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Banner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Banner misses with a low kick.
Spud swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Banner lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A telegraphed right hand from Banner misses the target.
Banner scores with a jab.
Spud throws a shot from downtown. Banner moves away and avoids it.
An inside leg kick from Spud misses.
Spud throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Banner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Spud throws a body punch but Banner moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Banner lands with a right hand.
Spud scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Banner doesn't seem bothered though.
Banner has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Randall's Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lamont Banner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spud stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Spud throws a jab but it's blocked by Banner .
Banner moves away from the strike by Spud.
A little feinted left hand from Banner on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A swing and a miss from Spud.
Banner connects with an inside leg kick.
Banner looks to land a right hand but Spud moved out of range.

Spud throws a poor cross that misses
and Banner counters with a nice low kick that buckles Spud's knee momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Banner . Spud does a little dance to reset his feet.
Spud lands a jab to the nose.
Banner throws a looping overhand right but Spud ducks down to avoid it.
Banner lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Spud avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Spud lands with a nice body kick.
Banner bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Spud throws a body shot but no joy.
Spud takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Banner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Spud's head.
Spud takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Spud lands a really nice looking cross but Banner seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spud connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Banner 's hands.

Banner throws a series of punches but Spud moves out of range.
Spud lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Banner falls backwards - clearly groggy! Spud dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Spud!
