Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Walcott (ranked 232 p4p, 435 weight class) and Snappy Whiplash (ranked 34 p4p, 63 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Walcott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Snappy Whiplash! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

Walcott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Whiplash throws out the jab. Walcott moves out of range as Whiplash strikes. Walcott lands a nice looking kick to the body. Whiplash takes a step back to recover. Walcott jabs Whiplash to the body, keeping him at a distance. Whiplash wants to slow Walcott down by chopping away at his legs. Walcott ducks under a wild hook from Whiplash. Whiplash lands with a shot to the body. Whiplash jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Whiplash bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Walcott's head backwards. Walcott moves out of range of the strikes. Walcott was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Walcott lands with a thumping leg kick.

Whiplash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Whiplash looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Whiplash blocks a head kick by Walcott.

Whiplash dips to his left and cracks Walcott with an uppercut! Walcott is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. A looping hook to the body misses from Whiplash. Walcott does a little dance to reset his feet. Walcott looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Whiplash knocks Walcott to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

A close round but Snappy Whiplash will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Whiplash lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Oh Walcott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Walcott fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Walcott connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Walcott seems to have got his legs back now. Whiplash throws a jab when Walcott was well out of range. Walcott is looking to counter with head kicks. Whiplash throws a hook but Walcott blocks it. Walcott moves out of range of the leg kick from Whiplash. Walcott thumps Whiplash with a low kick. Whiplash lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Whiplash stuns Walcott with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Walcott lands a head kick. Whiplash smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Walcott checks the leg kick. Walcott throws a looping overhand right but Whiplash ducks down to avoid it. The fighters circle momentarily. Walcott darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A jab from Whiplash misses. A low kick from Whiplash is predictable there and Walcott counters with a straight right hand. Walcott throws a front kick aimed at Whiplash's knee but Whiplash avoids it well. Walcott is looking to wear down Whiplash with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Walcott slips under a jab from Whiplash. A close second round but Snappy Whiplash will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Whiplash takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Whiplash throws a leg kick but Walcott moved away. Walcott lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Walcott throws a big shot that misses. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Whiplash lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Walcott has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Walcott and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Walcott tries a head kick but it misses.
Snappy Whiplash is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tommy Walcott. I think Whiplash has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
