Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Marshall (ranked 4133 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyoki Sinsuki (ranked 7667 p4p, 0 weight class). Sinsuki has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Franklin Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hyoki Sinsuki ! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Sinsuki . Marshall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sinsuki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marshall as he avoids it easily. Sinsuki looks winded! Marshall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sinsuki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Marshall is in Sinsuki 's guard. Sinsuki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marshall connects with a couple of short punches. Sinsuki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sinsuki swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sinsuki keeping moving, preventing Marshall from controlling successfully. Marshall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sinsuki is keeping the position for now. Marshall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall landing some decent shots from guard. Marshall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Marshall trying to control but Sinsuki is working from the bottom. Marshall tries to free his leg and advance position but Sinsuki is retaining full guard. Sinsuki has his foot on Marshall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marshall works his way back into a safe position though. Marshall decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Marshall rushes Sinsuki and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sinsuki has Marshall pressed against the cage, preventing Marshall from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Marshall is trying to break free. Marshall pulls guard. Marshall seems keen to control Sinsuki 's posture. Marshall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sinsuki defends well. Marshall wants to sweep but no luck. Marshall seems keen to control Sinsuki 's posture. Marshall is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sinsuki throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Marshall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marshall controlling the action here. Marshall trying to control from half guard but Sinsuki is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marshall is thwarting Sinsuki 's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sinsuki blocks a head kick by Marshall.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Marshall. Sinsuki is trying to escape the position but Marshall is controlling the position. Sinsuki can't do much from the bottom here. Marshall content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Marshall stands up and we're back to a striking position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall drives through with a takedown into guard. Sinsuki is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marshall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Marshall decides to pull guard. Marshall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sinsuki is one step ahead there. Franklin Marshall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sinsuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marshall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marshall trying to keep a closed guard but Sinsuki is proving a slippery customer.
Marshall is looking for a triangle but Sinsuki pushes his legs off easily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marshall closes the distance and clinches. Marshall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sinsuki can do to turn this around? Marshall connects with a knee to the head.
Sinsuki can't break the clinch.
Marshall has Sinsuki pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Marshall pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sinsuki tumbling to the mat - Marshall dives into Sinsuki 's guard. Marshall gets to his feet - Sinsuki follows without any prompting. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marshall rushes Sinsuki and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Marshall is trying to break free. Marshall wants to get back to striking at distance but Sinsuki won't allow it.

Marshall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marshall looking to score a takedown here. Sinsuki is defending well but Marshall drives through and ends up in Sinsuki 's guard. Marshall works over Sinsuki with some ground and pound from guard. Sinsuki keeping moving, preventing Marshall from controlling successfully. Marshall working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sinsuki 's head. Sinsuki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall landing with the ground and pound. Marshall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sinsuki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marshall is controlling him. Marshall stands up from guard. Let's bang! Marshall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sinsuki stopping the sweep attempt from Marshall.
