Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dock Ellis (ranked 806 p4p, 103 weight class) and Puck Heidegger (ranked 7322 p4p, 548 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Puck Heidegger was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dock Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 10 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Puck Heidegger! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis drives through and clinches with Heidegger against the ropes.
Ellis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ellis keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Heidegger has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ellis is landing a low percentage of strikes. Heidegger has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ellis. Ellis swings widly with a right hand
and Heidegger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Heidegger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Heidegger throws a low kick but Ellis avoids it. Ellis is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ellis, as that shot connected.
Heidegger lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ellis at a distance.
Ellis with a nice cross. Ellis throws a body shot but no joy. Heidegger misses with a wild body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Heidegger throws a body kick that misses. A left lands for Ellis. Ellis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Heidegger was well out of range. Poor timing from Ellis. Heidegger looks like he wants to counter punch here. Heidegger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ellis finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Ellis checks a low kick from Heidegger. Ellis appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Ellis looks to throw the jab but Heidegger is out of range. Heidegger throws a counter combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis moves out of range as Heidegger throws a body kick.
Ellis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A left lands for Ellis. Heidegger moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Heidegger misses with a body shot.
Heidegger throws the left hand but Ellis avoids the punch easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Ellis. That's going to slow Heidegger down. Ellis scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Nice shot by Ellis. Nice body kick from Heidegger. Heidegger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ellis.
Ellis tries to clinch but Heidegger moves away and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Ellis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Ellis connects with a body shot that sends Heidegger's belly button to the back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. An inside leg kick from Heidegger misses. Heidegger misses the shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heidegger on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Heidegger cracks the inside of Ellis's front leg. Heidegger ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Heidegger scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Ellis to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Heidegger away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Ellis got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?! Ellis tries a head kick but it misses.
Heidegger throws a push kick but Ellis slaps the foot to one side. A little feinted left hand from Ellis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Puck Heidegger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Heidegger feints and then cracks Ellis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ellis down. Heidegger is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ellis rather than just go for the knockout. A decent looking body kick lands there for Heidegger. Ellis is breathing heavily. A slapping leg kick lands for Heidegger.
Ellis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Heidegger was well out of range. Poor timing from Ellis. Ellis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Heidegger misses with the body kick and Ellis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Heidegger throws a nice outside leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Heidegger. Ellis does a little dance to reset his feet. Ellis was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Ellis misses with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Puck Heidegger should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ellis connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Heidegger is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ellis. Heidegger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ellis is looking to counter punch. Ellis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Heidegger. Heidegger replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Ellis blocks it well. Ellis throws a leg kick and Ellis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ellis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Heidegger stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ellis glances at the clock... BAM! Heidegger nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ellis crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ellis is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Puck Heidegger!
