Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Law (ranked 5280 p4p, 536 weight class) and Spud Higgins (ranked 7360 p4p, 657 weight class). Law comes into the arena with Country Boy Can Survive blaring out of the sound system. Higgins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lynyrd Skynrd - Gimme Three Steps . Spud Higgins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Higgins on his heels. He'll look to pass Higgins's guard now, I'm sure.
Law is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Higgins trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Law drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Law jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Law trying to control the position from guard on top but Higgins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Law slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Higgins struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Law is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Higgins is trying to escape and Law transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Higgins is forced to tap! Nice work there by Law! Very nice indeed!

In defeat, Spud Higgins stepped up to the mic, saying 'I need a beer, any sponsors? '.
