The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Darius Henderson and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamedov scores with a sloppy right hand. Almeida should have avoided that one.
Mamedov lands a jab to the nose.
Mamedov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mamedov swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mamedov moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromAlmeida.
Almeida drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Mamedov is trying to stand up here but Almeida is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Almeida is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mamedov sees it coming and defends easily.
Mamedov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Almeida passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mamedov!

Almeida is landing with some decent strikes but Mamedov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The referee warns Mamedov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mamedov is rocked!
Almeida lands a big shot there that rocks Mamedov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Mamedov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Almeida is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mamedov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mamedov shrugs it off.
Almeida loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mamedov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Almeida land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Almeida stands and salutes the crowd.
