Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pann Khumpai (ranked 3214 p4p, 302 weight class) and Jason Shields Jr (ranked 3760 p4p, 336 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pann Khumpai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Shields Jr!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields Jr throws a right and a left that Khumpai avoids nicely.
We've been told by Khumpai's head coaches at Finch Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Khumpai gets a clinch.
Khumpai breaks the clinch.
Shields Jr throws a nice looking combination but Khumpai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Khumpai avoids a punch combination nicely.
Khumpai tries a head kick but it misses.
Shields Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Khumpai counters with a left and a right that stings Shields Jr.
Shields Jr misses with a double jab.

Shields Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Khumpai sprawls well. He's pushed Shields Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shields Jr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Khumpais jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khumpai tries to bum rush Shields Jr with a series of wild strikes but Shields Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shields Jr doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Jason Shields Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khumpai defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shields Jr.
Shields Jr gets tackled into the cage by Khumpai. Khumpai maintains the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Shields Jr's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Shields Jr tries to keep at a distance but Khumpai has taken the fight into the clinch.

Khumpai lands a big head kick that sends Shields Jr tumbling to the mat! Khumpai takes a step backwards and waves Shields Jr back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Khumpai steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Shields Jr is out on his feet! Khumpai sets himself and nearly takes Shields Jr's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Pann Khumpai!
After the big win, Pann Khumpai made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Fist MMA Gear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
In defeat, Jason Shields Jr stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back'.
