Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Preman Penajan (ranked 4845 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Robson (ranked 6130 p4p, 237 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Preman Penajan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Robson!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penajan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Robson is trying to defend but Penajan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like Penajan is going to stand back up.
Robson wants to improve his position but Penajan is controlling well.
Penajan trying to control the pace.
Penajan prevents Robson from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Penajan wants to advance to full mount but Robson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Penajan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Penajan wanted to stand there but Robson had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Penajan moves into range and clinches up with Robson.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Robson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Penajan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Robson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Penajan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Penajan tries to clinch up but Robson circles away and keeps his distance.
Penajan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robson sprawls well. Robson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Penajan gets slowly back to his feet.
Robson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Penajan is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Robson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Penajan as he avoids it easily.
Penajan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Robson.
Preman Penajan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Robson.
Robson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Penajan takes the fight into the clinch.

Robson is trying to drag Penajan to the mat but Penajan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Penajan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Robson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Penajan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Robson avoids it.

Robson jumps into guard, dragging Penajan to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robson is trying to maintain the position but Penajan is very close to passing his half guard.

Robson pushes Penajan off looking to stand but Penajan dives back in and keeps control.

Penajan drives through with a takedown into Robson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Robson pulls Penajan in close to his closed guard and prevents Penajan from doing any damage or advancing position.

Penajan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Robson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Penajan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Penajan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Penajan is working for a submission of some sort.
Penajan drops an elbow to the side of Robson's head.
Robson wants to get back to his feet.
Penajan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Robson can do to turn this around?
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Robson is looking for a sweep. Penajan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Penajan misses the shot to the body.
Penajan throws a series of punches but Robson moves out of range.
Robson shoots in for a takedown but Penajan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Robson is defended easily by Penajan.
Robson is breathing heavily.
Penajan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Robson but Robson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Robson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Penajan drags the fight down to the ground.

Penajan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Penajan wants to stand but Robson is controlling the position.

Robson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Penajan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Penajan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Robson gets tackled into the cage by Penajan. Penajan maintains the clinch.
Robson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Penajan has Robson pressed against the cage, preventing Robson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Robson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Penajan to keep the fight standing.

Robson gets control of Penajan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Robson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Penajan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Robson, up you get!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Robson enables Penajan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Robson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Penajan shoots in for a takedown but Robson shows good takedown defense.
Robson slips a straight right by Penajan.
Robson tries to clinch there but Penajan circles away.

Penajan tries to sprawl but Robson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Penajan is trying to escape back to his feet but Robson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Penajan is pushing Robson's head away, looking to escape. Robson manages to hold on to the position though.

Well Penajan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
