The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furgusen cracks a nice hook into Sampaio's ribs.

Furgusen pushes Sampaio up against the cage in a clinch.
Sampaio is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Furgusen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sampaio is trying to force a seperation but Furgusen has the dominant position.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Furgusen.
Sampaio goes for a takedown attempt but Furgusen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Furgusen connects with a right hand. Sampaio shakes it off.
Furgusen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Furgusen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sampaio.
Allan Sampaio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Furgusen lands with a straight right. Sampaio didn't see that one coming.
