Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Corsair Light (ranked 5392 p4p, 412 weight class) and Uri Romanov (ranked 3381 p4p, 320 weight class). Uri Romanov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corsair Light! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Uri Romanov! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romanov gets the takedown into side control. Light is trying to improve his position. Light trying to control but Romanov flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Light trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Romanov has the hooks in. Light is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Romanov is persistently looking for the submission but Light is defending it well.
Romanov connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Light to escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Light trying to control but not successfully. Light manages to reverse the position and now he's in Romanov's guard. Nice work there by Light.
Light wants to control from the top but Romanov keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romanov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Light is one step ahead there. Light looking to pass the guard. Light is pushing down on Romanov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Romanov is fighting to maintain full guard but Light has managed to sneak the leg through. Light trying to control the action but Romanov is working from the bottom. Romanov controlling the position for now. Light is trying to control. Romanov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Romanov is trying to stand back up but Light is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Romanov is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Light trying to control from half guard but Romanov is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romanov slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Romanov working for a triangle but Light defends it easily.
Romanov wants to sweep but no luck. Romanov keeping full guard, as Light tries to pass. Romanov seems keen to control Light's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romanov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Light trying to control but Romanov is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A right-left combo lands from Romanov. Romanov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Romanov lands in his opponent's guard. Light throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Romanov tries to stand but Light is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romanov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Light has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Romanov has managed to get both his arms back between Light's legs - danger averted. Romanov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Light swivels though and keeps the full guard. Romanov sitting in guard here, content to control. Romanov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Light has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Romanov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Romanov wants to pass the guard but Light is keeping the position. Light being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uri Romanov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Light misses with a looping right. Romanov pushes Light up against the cage in a clinch. Romanov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Light regains guard immediately. Romanov is stalling in the full guard. Romanov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Light has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Romanov is looking to defend but Light has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Romanov! Light pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Romanov taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Corsair Light! Corsair Light is the new featherweight champion!
