The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Horn shoots in for a double leg but Powers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Powers throws a sloppy head kick and Van Horn moves out of range easily.
Powers keeps the fight on the outside.
Van Horn is looking to clinch but Powers is avoiding it.
Van Horn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Powers drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Powers seems to have locked his on tight now - Van Horn screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Powers, as he picks up the win!
